The Roots of our workshops

The workshops equip participants with the skills and understanding to name the problem and separate it from the person. They build awareness of the realities around us, offer reflective prompts, and invite dialogue and deeper understanding of the issues.

During the workshop, we encourage people to meet one another as whole human beings, rather than only for what they represent. In the group, we treat conflict as an opportunity to do better and learn from mistakes. We invite folks to move away from toxic positivity and toward grounded positivity by offering practical tools and supports to help plant seeds of healing, learning, and a clearer sense of what the future can look like.

Join us on the path to holistic wellness, self-realization, and empowerment for a brighter, more authentic future.

Before the workshop, please take a moment to care for your body, mind, and spirit. Have a snack, bring a coffee, water or tea, and arrive with gentleness and curiosity, honoring how you are showing up.

Please choose a private, quiet space with a stable internet connection and a device with a microphone and camera. You will receive an automated reminder email from the Jane Team before your session, with a secure link to join the video call.

Creating Safer Queer/Trans Spaces Without Centering Whiteness

This workshop is for people who want to show up in Black and Brown queer and trans spaces with accountability, humility, and care. Together, we explore what it means to be “safe” versus “accountable,” and how whiteness and white supremacy can show up through harm that is often framed as good intentions, allyship, or “just asking questions.”

Conflict resolution

workshop

In the conflict resolution workshop , participants will learn to mediate and understand that the “superpower” isn’t control. It isn’t silencing. It isn’t forcing peace. It is holding structure without violence:it is consent and having people to listen to each other.

Participants will learn that if the resolution is not complete in one sitting, something still shifts when people experience themselves listening. They realize: I’m not only reactive. I can choose. That choice is the beginning of repair—whether repair becomes reconciliation, clarity, boundaries, or a safer separation. Lets learn together

Intersectionality and positionality Workshop

This is a well-structured, values-rooted workshop drawn from the lived experiences of Black trans people with refugee experience. Together, we explore real-life stories through guided and grounded reflection and interactive dialogue. This work may make participants uncomfortable and that discomfort is part of the learning. We practice understanding that discomfort is not the same as harm. We build a foundation for noticing the stories we tell ourselves, interrogating what we’ve accepted as “true,” and recognizing how those beliefs can create harm—whether knowingly or unknowingly.
